- 1. Upload photos you took personally or you found in a site license free as Wikipedia. Most of the images found on sites do not comply our license and should not be loaded here unless you have the explicit permission of the author.
- 2. Click on "Browse ...", then find the file on your computer and select it by clicking on it. The file name will appear in the first two fields below. Change the name of the destination file so that it is significant (DSCN0322.jpg says nothing!).
- 3. In the "Details" field, please indicate the source and the author of the photo, if found elsewhere.
- 4. Select a license from the menu.
- 5. Relax. Uploading images can be intimidating at first. If you need help or you believe that the following method is easier for you send everything - even more than one image - at info@venicewiki.org. We'll take care of everything! You can also insert photos from Flickr.
- 6. To include the image in a page, use a link in the form
[[Immagine:File.jpg]],
[[Immagine:File.png|alt text]] or
[[Media:File.ogg]] for directly linking to the file.
